Are you an artist working in the Kansas City region? PLUG Projects is now accepting proposals for our local solo gallery. If you are interested in putting together a one-person show, please submit the following: In one PDF: - Biography (less than 300 words) - Artist Statement (less than 500 words) - Show Proposal - Website Link As well as 5-8 Images / Media - jpg, gif, png format - For video, audio and other time-based media, links are preferred Submissions should be sent to info .com with the subject "Local Solo" by 11:59 pm on Friday, August 17.

PLUG Projects is now accepting submissions for upcoming CRIT NIGHT participants! Moderated by a rotating panel of local artists and art professionals, 3 artists are selected to participate at each CRIT NIGHT. Open to the public, the goal of CRIT NIGHT is to encourage open discussion of artists’ work and to activate both the artist and audience engaged dialogue that will provoke artistic growth and the public’s engagement. To submit your work for CRIT NIGHT send an email with a link to your website or 3 images to submissions .com by Tuesday, June 5th at midnight.
Join PLUG Projects this Saturday, June 9th at 7 pm for Home Visions, a program of 16mm films by Brian Wilson. Home Visions, a program of 16mm films by Brian Wilson, demonstrates how Wilson explores the possibilities of the home movie form. One Light gives us glimpses of Wilson's home life, his wife and children, and details the spaces of the house in which each of these films unfold. Wilson exposes the physical film stock between each shot, creating striking hues of red, yellow, and orange, and giving us the sensation that the work emerges out of light itself. Wilson
